What did the world search for in 2014?

Google released its annual "Year in Search" for 2014 - exploring people, places, interests, and events which captured the collective curiosity of people around the world. This annual summary of the most searched things demonstrates our unparallelled need to know about stuff. The Year in Search also demonstrates the use of Google as the go to tool for people to find out about things ranging from football scores, to selfies, to  current events.

It reminds us of the fact that we turn to Google for most of our needs.

So, what do these searches say about us? What do people really want to know about? The Year in Search provides an insight into the minds of people, and what they care about.

Marketing is all about understanding people, and what better way than to find out what people search for. The Year in Review becomes your very own focus group - sifting through millions of searches, and capturing the defining moments.
